Disney Princess Enchanted 10k

We loved this 10k much more than we expected. I usually think you should run a half marathon if you go to a half festival, and running just a 5k or 10k is kind of boring (no offense to everyone who does)… but I would say this race is totally worth the trip to Disney, even without running the half marathon. 10k Route When you run the Princess Half, you don’t run around the World Showcase at Epcot.…

RunDisney Race Trip 2017

After last year’s not-so-great RunDisney Princess Half experience, we were ready to try again! Where we stayed: The Dolphin As usual, we waited a little too long to book. I (Danielle) read so many blog posts about the best place to stay for runDisney races, but staying at a Disney Resort Hotel was too expensive for what you get… I had heard that the Swan & Dolphin was great because of the walking distance from the parks,…

Mont Tremblant

We left for Mont Tremblant on the Saturday after Thanksgiving 2016. New Jersey didn’t have much snow yet, and we decided to look for snow as far north as possible. Friends of ours visited Mont Tremblant in February and told us it  can be extremely cold (like, you’ll definitely get frostbite if you’re not completely covered). We didn’t want to be miserable…. We’re going to CANADA 🇨🇦❄️🎿🌨🎉 {Could we be any more excited? I think…

Paris!

We had so much fun walking around Paris for 3 days! We definitely needed more time to explore this beautiful, huge city and can’t wait to go back someday (soon??) We stayed in an AirBNB for this city, too. It was right next to the Champs-Élysées, and the first photo was our view when we went around the corner from our apartment 🙂 Here’s the listing for this place. Overall, it was clean and a…

Barcelona, Spain

We took a quick trip to Barcelona – literally 24 hours – before heading to Paris. We definitely needed a little more time to see the city, but I think we fit a lot in. We stayed at an AirBNB for the 1 night we were there. I decided we didn’t need a kitchen, and went for a “private room” listing instead. I was super nervous about it, because we would be staying with the…

Segovia, Spain

Segovia is another cool city near Madrid full of castles and ancient buildings 🙂 The city is famous for this first century aqueduct which was built without any kind of mortar, and it’s still functioning! So so cool! There was a 5k the morning we were there, and I would have loved to run in it! Probably good that I didn’t, because the city is built on hills… the runners looked like they were dying……

Toledo, Spain

On our second day in Spain we went to Toledo. It was such a cool little city. The streets were really narrow, and I’m pretty sure we were walking uphill the entire day. We were amazed there were any cars on the streets! Even the train stations were ornate with beautiful tile work everywhere… We walked through the cathedral with an audio guide! Everything was beautiful and had beautiful details. Some of the frescos were fading on…

Madrid, Spain

We can’t believe our trip to Europe is over.. It was so fun, and we can’t wait to go back!! I thought I’d make a post per city that we visited 🙂 We walked about 8-10 miles every day!! The first day in Madrid was the day we got off the plane – I had a cold, and I was slightly delirious from the time change. Flying through the night is pretty awful :/ sleeping on…

New Jersey: Antiques in Lambertville

Hope you had a great weekend! We definitely did 🙂 I was supposed to run 13 miles, but everyone was out of town…. so I didn’t. because 13 miles is boring by yourself. and the bears are starting to wake up. Eric and I have been wanting to walk around and look at antiques (part of our series, How Much Furniture Can Danielle and Eric Fit In Their Tiny Apartment), so he found this cute little…

Princess Half Marathon 2016 Recap

Now I want to write about the logistics of the Disney Princess Half Marathon weekend. I love love love Disney World, but the actual event was not as fun as I expected this time around. There weren’t enough honest posts about how everything works as a participant, so I didn’t really know what I was getting myself into. Next year we’re doing things differently, but I want to share what we learned. Submitting a Proof…
